Lady Chatterley pure and simple!

If you have never read this fine piece of literature by DH Lawrence then it is an absolute must!

Having downloaded this book to my new Amazon Kindle, I decided to read it by the pool side in Majorca this Spring.

Expecting it to be an erotic novel involving a bit of slap and tickle between a gamekeeper and a lady of a fine house, I discovered that indeed it was far from this.

I don't want to create a spoiler for all those who have not read this book, but it is in a deeper sense a fine piece of literature based on the difference between the sexes.  In reality, I think that Lady "Jane" is a little naive about her lover, and the book does not suggest a deep, life long love, just a mild suggestion that both men and women exist to satisfy very basic needs.  The burden of the sexes is made clear, from that of  a man being the bread winner and his world being all physical and material and women existing for simpler things such as bearing children, and without which such an opportunity, they cannot realise their womenhood.

Any comments that you may have in relation to my Blog, I would be interested to hear an interpretations of this book.  In my opinion, it is a masterpiece.  Glad to have decided to read it.  I wouldn't have Adam and Eve'd it!
